Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all harness assemblies, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Connect harness assembly (3) to the cab harness connection plate as shown, using the pin connector with wires K858-YL, K862-GY and K869-BU. Note: If your machine is equipped with Tool Control, refer to Illustration 3 for proper connection of harness assembly (3) .

Route harness assembly (3) as shown. Connect harness assembly (3) to stem 3 retract solenoid (B) with the pin connector containing wires K862-GY and K869-BU. Connect harness assembly (3) to stem 3 extend solenoid (C) with the pin connector containing wires K858-YL and K869-BU. Refer to Illustration 10.
Install clips (4) using existing hardware and washer (5), bolts (6) and (7). Secure harness assembly (3) as shown using straps (1) and (2) .
Ensure harness assembly (3) does not interfere with any sharp edges, hydraulic lines, or electrical lines.
