Use Tooling (E) and Tooling (N) to install bearing (14) on rotor assembly (7).

Install drive gear (12) to rotor assembly (7). Use Tooling (E) and Tooling (N) to install bearing (11) to rotor assembly (7).

Install piston ring (10) from rotor assembly (7).

Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to rotor assembly (7). The weight of rotor assembly (7) is approximately 46 kg (100 lb).

Use Tooling (E) to install lip seal (8). The back of lip seal (8) should be near the end of the bore of stator case (6).Note: The generator shaft seal can be driven in at different depths to utilize a new seal surface, but must not be driven in all the way. The seals on a generator, S/N RA201905 and below, can be driven in to a depth of 4.5 mm (0.18 inch) to 8 mm (0.32 inch) from the outside face of the case. If the stator shaft has been replaced with a newer part number (508–1103 or newer, marked on the end of shaft) the seal depth can be set flush with the case or driven to a depth of 8 mm (0.32 inch).Generator serial numbers RA201906 and above have a longer shaft. The shaft seal can be set flush with the case or driven to a depth of 8 mm (0.32 inch).
Lightly lubricate the inner diameter of lip seal (8).

Install O-ring seal (9).

Install plugs (31). Tighten plugs (31) to a torque of 50 10 N m (36 7 lb ft).
Install Tooling (D) and apply Tooling (P) to rotor assembly (7). Apply a 3.0 0.5 mm (0.12 0.02 inch) diameter continuous bead of Tooling (R) to gear box assembly (17). Spread evenly to cover area from edge of gear box assembly (17) flange to bolt holes.

Install Tooling (C) and suitable lifting device to stator case (6). The weight of stator case (6) is approximately 105 kg (230 lb). Position stator case (6) level and over gearbox assembly (17).
Rotate stator assembly (7) while lowering stator case (6) onto gearbox assembly (17). Ensure that contact is not made between rotor assembly (7) and stator case (6). Remove Tooling (C), Tooling (D), and Tooling (P).

Install bolts (4) to generator (1). Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).
Install bolts (5) to generator (1). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Install plate (3) and the O-ring seal. Install bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 28 7 N m (20 5 lb ft).
Install Tooling (S) and assemble Tooling (T).
Remove plug (36) and attach Tooling (T).
Apply no more than 34 kPa (5
