Applicable MachinesDescription of Change: New stronger brush springs can be installed to ensure proper contact between the brushes and the commutator of the actuator. If the control system shows an "Actuator Stall" fault code, the brush springs should be replaced. All actuators shipped after February 25, 1999 will have a new set of brush springs installed. For all actuators shipped before this date, a repair kit is available from Flexxaire Mfg. Inc. at no charge. The part number from Flexxaire is 12116 and contains two (2) new brush springs. Average time for replacement of the brush springs is approximately 30-45 minutes.
