This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3874" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3874" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Some G3408, G3412, G3508, G3512 and G3516 Generator Sets were shipped to Europe without parts to meet the 1996 Certification Requirements. The parts are now available and the generator sets should be updated.

If a serial number requires more than one of the rework procedures, the dealer should complete all reworks at the same time. Only one travel time and mileage claim will be considered.
Control Assembly
Replace the existing governor control assembly with the new governor control assembly called out in Groups 1, 2, and 3.
Voltage Regulator Assembly
The voltage regulator on the Genset does not meet 1996 European requirements and needs to be replaced. Replace the existing regulator assembly with the new regulator assembly called out in Groups 4 and 5.
RFI Filter
A 7E5035 RFI Filter needs to be installed on Serial Numbers in Group 6 to meet the 1996 European requirements.
A 9Y5038 RFI Filter needs to be installed on Serial Numbers in Group 7 to meet the 1996 European requirements.
Owner Notification
Attached is an example of an Owner Notification Letter.
Service Claim Allowances
Groups 1, 2, and 3 (ONLY IF THE GOVERNOR CONTROL ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN INSTALLED)
If a Governor Control and Voltage Regulator Assemblies were supplied with the Genset, contact Grimbergen with the engine serial number, part number to be returned, and the number of hours in service, and request a Special Return Authorization.If the part has less than 100 hours, Grimbergen will issue the return authorization and credit the dealer 100% D/N.The dealer will then claim the difference between the acquisition price of the new Governor Control and Voltage Regulator and the credit issued by Grimbergen as an Other Expense. If the part has more than 100 hours, Grimbergen will advise the dealer to scrap the part.The dealer would then claim for the new Governor Control and Voltage Regulator.If no Governor Control or Voltage
