Displaying and Adjusting NOX Sensor Calibration
There are six parameters that are associated with the operation and the calibration of the NOX sensor. These parameters are available for display and for adjustment by the use of the "SENSOR CAL" key on the keypad.Viewing the Desired (base) Setpoint Value
"SENSOR CAL" key - Press this key in order to view the parameters that are associated with the operation and the calibration of the NOX sensor. Press the key again in order to advance to the next parameter that relates to the NOX sensor.

Adjustable in setup mode 2
The first calibration screen provides access to the slope multiplier for the NOX sensor. Normally, the NOX sensor should not require calibration. The slope multiplier provides the tool in order to calibrate the sensor if the response of the sensor should change during the sensor's life cycle. The sensor response slope is compared against a reference measurement instrument in the field. The value "160" represents the active result of the measurement from the NOX sensor in ppm. This result can be compared to a reference measurement instrument during calibration adjustment. The default slope value is 100 percent and the adjustable range is 50 percent to 150 percent. This parameter is only adjustable while the control is in setup mode 2.Note: The engine must run under stable conditions in order to properly calibrate the NOX sensor. The control should be moved to the manual mode in order to keep the fuel valve at a constant position. Compare the readings from the display and from the reference measurement instrument for at least 10 minutes in order to get the best results.

The second calibration screen provides access to the zero offset value for the NOX sensor. Normally, the NOX sensor should not require calibration. The calibration offset value provides the tool in order to calibrate the zero offset value if the response of the sensor should change during the sensor's life cycle. The zero offset value is compared against a reference measurement instrument in the field. The value "160" represents the result of the measurement from the NOX sensor in ppm. This result can be compared to a reference measurement instrument during calibration adjustment. The default offset value is 0 ppm and the adjustable range is −500 ppm to +500 ppm. This parameter is only adjustable while the control is in setup mode 2.Note: The calibration offset value for the NOX sensor is only for customer service. Only use the slope multiplier function in order to adjust the NOX sensor.

Adjustable in setup mode 2
The third calibration screen provides access to the speed threshold. The speed threshold is used to power up the NOX sensor at the appropriate time. The value for the speed threshold works in conjunction with the value for the intake manifold pressure threshold. When both values are achieved, the power to the sensor is turned on. The default setting is 1100 rpm. The adjustable range is 0 rpm
