Information:
Engine Speed Dial
Turn this dial to control the engine speed (rpm). Select the desired position from the 10 positions. The selected dial position is indicated on the character display of the monitor panel. Decrease (1) - Turn the dial counterclockwise to decrease the engine speed. Increase (2) - Turn the dial clockwise to increase the engine speed.Travel Speed Control Switch
Travel Speed Control Switch - Press this switch to select either HIGH or LOW machine travel speed. When the engine start switch is turned on, the switch is always set at the LOW position. Each time the switch is pushed, the travel speed changes to HIGH or LOW.Select the LOW speed position [3.8 km/h (2.4 mph) maximum] when driving on rough or soft surfaces, or when requiring a high drawbar pull. Low is also recommended for loading or unloading from a trailer.Select the HIGH speed position [5.5 km/h (3.4 mph) maximum] when driving on a hard even surface. If a load placed on the machine increases to a certain level during HIGH speed travel, the machine automatically decreases its travel speed to LOW.Continuous travel at high speed should be limited to two hours. If it is necessary to continue high speed travel beyond two consecutive hours, stop the machine for 10 minutes to cool the travel drives before resuming travel.
Do not operate travel speed control switch while traveling.Machine stability may be adversely affected.Personal injury can result from sudden changes in machine stability.
Power Mode Switch
Push this switch to change the power mode of the machine. When the engine start switch is turned on, the power mode is automatically set at the II position. Select a suitable power mode position from the three positions, depending on type of working conditions or purposes. The digging force does not vary in any mode. (Mode III) This mode is suitable for heavy duty work which needs high operating speed. Changing the switch to this position provides maximum machine power. (Mode II) This mode is suitable for ordinary work. Changing the switch to this position slightly reduces the operating speed and provides medium machine power. This will reduce the noise and fuel consumption, compared with Mode III. With the engine speed dial at position "9" or higher during implement and/or swing operation, this mode position provides a maximum of engine speed equivalent to dial position "8". Travel operation is not affected. (Mode I) This mode is suitable for light duty work such as leveling work which does not need high speed. Changing the switch to this position provides the minimum machine power to minimize the fuel consumption and noise. With the speed dial at position "7" or higher, this mode position provides a maximum of engine speed equivalent to dial position "6".Work Mode Switch
Push this switch to select a work mode. Whenever the engine start switch is moved to ON from OFF, the work mode is automatically set at the Boom Priority mode. Select a suitable work mode position, depending on the type of work to
