PIN 1122825 - Caterpillar

Note: Put identification marks on all lines for installation purposes. Plug all lines. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Disconnect line (1) from the boom swing cylinder.

Disconnect line (2) from the boom swing cylinder.

Remove bolt (3), washer (4), and spacer (5) from the pin assembly.
Remove pin assembly (6) from the boom swing cylinder.
Lower boom swing cylinder (7) on the bottom of upper structure (8) .

Use a suitable lifting device to support boom swing cylinder (7) .
Remove bolt (9), washer (10), and spacer (11) from the pin assembly.
Remove pin assembly (12) from the boom swing cylinder.
Use a suitable lifting device to remove boom swing cylinder (7) from the upper structure. Weight of the boom swing cylinder is 45 kg (99 lb).Installation Procedure
Note: Be sure that the pin assemblies and the pin bores are thoroughly clean prior to installation of the boom swing cylinder.

Apply a thin coat of 1P-0808 Multipurpose Grease on the diameter of the pin bores and the pin assemblies. Use a suitable lifting strap to support boom swing cylinder (7) into position. Weight of the boom swing cylinder is 45 kg (99 lb).
Install pin assembly (12) into the boom swing cylinder.
Install spacer (11), washer (10), and bolt (9) to the pin assembly. Tighten the bolt.

Raise boom swing cylinder (7) from the bottom of upper structure (8) .
Place boom swing cylinder (7) into position.
Install pin assembly (6) into the boom swing cylinder.
Install spacer (5), washer (4), and bolt (3) to the boom swing cylinder. Tighten the bolt.

Connect line (2) to the boom swing cylinder.

Install the hydraulic tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Tank - Remove and Install".
Install the fuel tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Tank - Install".
