The "Settings" menu is used to adjust parameters.Many factors dictate the need to adjust parameters, such as: operating conditions, work efficiency and user preferences. Machine setup determines the parameters displayed . Machine attachments determine the software versions contained in each ECM configuration. The Advisor monitoring system looks at the software versions in order to determine which parameters will be displayed, and which of those parameters will be variable.Note: Cat ET can also be used to access, or change, parameters. Changing parameters, or changing access, is more easily performed using the Advisor. The "Settings" menu option is entered by selecting "Settings" from the "Home Menu". Press the up arrow button or the down arrow button until "Settings" is highlighted in order to select the "Settings" menu. Then press the "OK" button. Refer to Illustration 2.

The "Settings" menu organizes the variable parameters into one category. This category has adjustable parameters. The category is the "Display Setup". The menu options are displayed on the left half of the screen. The user prompts are displayed on the right half of the screen.To make adjustments the associated parameter, press the up arrow button or the down arrow button until the desired category is highlighted. Then press the "OK" button in order to access the parameter in that category. From this point, follow the prompts on the screen to change the available parameters. Display Settings
From the "Display Setup" menu, use the arrow button or the down arrow button to highlight the desired parameter. Then press the "OK" button. Doing that will allow access to that parameter screen. Then follow the prompts on the screen in order to adjust the parameter. All the parameters in this category relate to the operator preferences in regard to the Advisor display. The following parameters may be adjusted:
