6. Hold the rod of tooling (A) so it will not turn, and loosen nut (4) until the stem in the underspeed valve is completely down. Remove tooling (A) from the underspeed valve. 7. Remove lever (7) and the key from the shaft. 8. Remove 10 allen bolts (8) and plate (9) from the case. Plate (9) can be tight on the boss on the underspeed valve because there is an O-ring seal on the boss. 9. Remove underspeed valve (10) from the case.Install Underspeed Valve
1. Put underspeed valve (1) in position in the case. 2. Be sure O-ring seal (2) is in position on the underspeed valve and O-ring seals (3) are in position on the plate. Put gasket (4) and the plate in position on the underspeed valve and case. Install the 10 allen bolts that hold them in place. 3. Install key (5) and lever (6) on the shaft. 4. Install tooling (A) in the hole in plug (7), and turn the rod of tooling (A) into the stem in the underspeed valve as far as it will go. Hold the rod of tooling (A) so it will not turn, and tighten the nut on tooling (A) until the stem in the underspeed valve is tight against the plug at the top of the valve. 5. Put the links in position on the rod end of the stem in the pilot-overspeed valve, and install bolt and nut (8) that hold them in place.6. Move speed-direction lever (4) and steer cam assembly (9) to the right as shown so rod end (10) can be connected to the bracket.7. Hold the rod of tooling (A) so it will not turn, and loosen the nut until the stem in the underspeed valve is completely down. Remove tooling (A) from the underspeed valve. 8. Be sure the washers and seal on the oil lines are in the position shown. 9. Install tee (11) in the top of the underspeed valve.10. START BY:a. remove underspeed valve 1. Remove bolts (2) and valve group (1) from the underspeed valve assembly. 2. Use tool (B) to partially compress the spring. Remove bolts (3) and guide (4). Remove tool (B). 3. Remove plug (5) and the tee from the valve. If necessary, remove some metal from tool (A) with a small grinder to give clearance so retainers (6) can be removed.4. Use tool (A) and a press to put spring (7) under compression so retainers (6) can be removed. Remove retainers (6). Carefully release the tension on spring (7). Remove tool (A) and spring (7) from the valve group. 5. Remove nut (8), shaft (10) and retainers (12) from the valve group.6. Remove washers (11) and bearings (9) from the shaft. 7. Remove bolt (13), the retainer and spring. Remove tube (14) and O-ring seal (15). 8. Remove ring
