Machines Powered By 3114, 3116, and 3126 EnginesDescription of Change: A new calibration pin group and a pin assembly has replaced the former pin group and pin assembly. The new pin group and the new pin assembly are used to calibrate and set the governor in the above engines.Adaptable To: See the list below for adaptability: * The new 1U-7316 Calibration Pin Group (short pin), replaced the former 1U-9786 Calibration Pin Group and should be used for bench calibration of type I-V and greater governors.* The 1U-7305 Insertion Tool should be used to connect to the mechanical unit injector linkage on the governor while on the engine. The 1U-7305 Insertion Tool should be used on type I-IV Governors.* The new 128-8827 Pin Assembly replaced the former 9U-7271 Pin Assembly and should be used to connect to the mechanical unit injector linkage on the governor while on the engine. The 128-8827 Pin Assembly should be used on type V or greater governors.
If the 1U-7316 Calibration Pin Group is used to calibrate the governor while on the engine, the power settings will be 1 mm (.04 in) LOW.If the 128-8827 Pin Assembly or 1U-7305 Insertion Tool is used as bench calibration tools, the settings will be 1 mm (.04 in) HIGH.
