A new valve adjusting screw is available for the above engines. The new 204-4385 Adjusting Screw has a 6.38 mm (0.25 inch) hex head that is used to set valve lash and to set fuel injector timing. The machined hex replaces the slot in the former adjusting screw. The new adjusting screw requires a 6.38 mm (0.25 inch) hex drive socket in order to set the valve lash and the fuel injector timing. The hex drive makes valve lash adjustment and fuel injector timing easier and more accurate.The new adjusting screw has been added to the 127-2448 Cylinder Head Kit. This cylinder head kit provides spare parts for the cylinder head and for the valve train. See Table 1 for the contents of the 127-2448 Cylinder Head Kit. This cylinder head kit is packaged according to the requirements of the marine certification society.
