ACTION REQUIRED
If the existing tube fails, replace the tube with a new 454-5316 Hose Assembly. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Open the left engine door compartment.
2. Cut the strap from the electrical connector and move up the ladder clip with the connector. Retain the same ladder clip and connector orientation as before. Strap the connector with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap. Refer to Image1.1.1.

3. Remove the 290-5606 Oil Tube by using the dealer tool 5P-0327 Crowfoot Socket 13/16. Refer to Image1.2.1.

4. Replace the two 6V-8397 O-Ring Seals on each side by new ones. Lightly lubricate O-ring seal with engine oil.
5. Assemble the new 454-5316 Hose Assembly. Tighten the hose by using the dealer tool 5P-0327 Crowfoot Socket 13/16 to a specified torque of 45 +/- 5 N.m.
6. Re-orient the adapter assembly in order to avoid interference with the connector and the pulley. Refer to Image1.3.1.

7. Clean the machine.
8. Start the engine and warm-up.
9. Check and ensure that there are no leaks on the hose assembly and adapter assembly.
10. Check the engine oil level. Add oil, if necessary.
