When reporting the repair, use "PS40623"as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered beforefailure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" asthe SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as theWarranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Turn off all power, prevent the engine from startingand lock out the equipment before working on or inside the equipment.Only qualified electrical personnel shouldservice this equipment.Always use a properly rated volt-sensing deviceto confirm that power is off.Post required warnings and tags, inform allnecessary personnel and exercise required code and site-specific proceduresto avoid injury.Discharge any capacitance before touching electricalleads. Replace all devices, doors, and covers before turning power on tothis equipment.
In the marshalling box remove wire #85 from terminalblock #85. This wire is in the harness (part number 109-3259).
Apply a small piece of shrink wrap tube with tb-84ink stamped on it, (we are placing the tube over the ink stamped 85 onthe wire), then shrink wrap it).
Install the remarked wire in terminal block #84.
Stamp a-5 next to the engine serial number onthe engine block.
