Incandescent tail lamps are used on certification conversion arrangements for the Series H Motor Grader that are used in the European Union countries and on the Australian version of the Series H Motor Grader.Caterpillar recommends adding a 3E-5239 Relay Assembly with usage of incandescent bulbs on the tail lamps of the Series H Motor Grader. The addition of the 3E-5239 Relay Assembly will enhance the reliability of the electrical circuit for the service brake.A new special instruction is now available. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS4473, "Procedure for Installing the Relay for the Brake Lights" for the complete information on the installation of the 3E-5239 Relay Assembly and the parts that are required in order to install the relay assembly.
