(3) Hydraulic lockout lever (4) Plunger (5) Bar (6) Limit switch Limit switch (6) and plunger (4) are located on a bracket with hydraulic lockout lever (3). The limit switch is activated by hydraulic lockout lever (3) .When hydraulic lockout lever (3) is shifted to the LOCKED position, solenoid valve (2) of pilot oil manifold (1) is not energized. Pilot oil is not supplied to the pilot control valves. Thus when the joysticks and/or the travel levers/pedals are operated, the cylinders or the motors are not activated also. The engine will not start unless hydraulic lockout lever (3) is in the LOCKED position. If some one unexpectedly operates the machine, the machine will not operate.When hydraulic lockout lever (3) is placed in the UNLOCKED position, solenoid valve (2) is energized and pilot oil passes through the solenoid valve. Pilot oil now flows to the pilot control valves.

This allows passage (15) to open. Pilot pressure oil flows through passage (12) and passage (15) to passage (9). The pressure oil acts against spool (10). Spool (10) shifts to the right against the force of spring (13). Passage (18) opens. Pilot pressure oil is sent to the pilot control valves through passage (8) and line (7). Limit switch (6) is turned ON as plunger (4) is pushed down by lever (3) .When hydraulic activation control lever (3) is in the LOCKED position, solenoid valve (11) is de-energized. Spool (19) returns to the left by the force of spring (14). Passage (16) opens. Oil in passage (9) drains and passage (15) closes. When the flow of pilot oil is blocked to passage (9), spool (10) is returned to the left by the force of spring (13). Passage (17) opens and passage (18) closes. Passage (12) and passage (8) is closed. Pilot oil supply to line (7) is stopped. Pilot oil supply to the pilot control valves (joysticks and travel levers/pedals) is blocked. The cylinders and the motors can not be activated.With the hydraulic activation control lever (3) in the LOCKED position, limit switch (6) will turn OFF. Plunger (4) will become free from the lever.The engine start switch can only be operated when limit switch (6) is in the OFF position and hydraulic activation control lever (3) is in the LOCKED position.
