Refer to REHS5419, Special Instruction, "Field Improvement to the Hydraulic Implement Tank on the 993K Wheel Loader", for the rework procedure.
It is recommended that REBE6771, Service Letter, "Product Improvement Program for Replacing the Engine Shield Assembly (Firewall) on Certain 993K Wheel Loaders", be performed at the same time as REBE7019, Service Letter, "Product Improvement Program for Replacing the Implement Hydraulic Tank Return Hose on Certain 993K Wheel Loaders".

Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
The implement hydraulic tank return hose needs to be replaced on the products listed below. The existing implement hydraulic tank return hose can rupture allowing unfiltered hydraulic oil into the clean hydraulic oil. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 11May2011 when scheduling this service.
