1. Lower the blade to the ground and move the control levers back and forth to remove any pressure in hydraulic system.2. With the diesel engine shut off, remove the pressure from the brake system by making several brake applications with the foot brakes until brake pressure gauge shows zero pressure.
Do not try to loosen or disconnect any oil lines until pressure in hydraulic system and brake system is zero.
3. Remove the oil from the hydraulic tank. Put blocks under the front and rear wheels.4. Put a number on each of the hydraulic lines in center of machine for identification purposes. 5. Disconnect the hydraulic lines (1) from hoses (2).6. Disconnect the two hoses (4) and three lines (3) from swivel joint.7. Disconnect the wiring harness near the swivel joint. 8. Remove the bolts that fasten swivel joint and support bracket to the rear frame. Remove the swivel joint (5) and bracket. 9. Remove the bolts and nuts (7) from drive shaft. Disconnect the drive shaft (6) from front frame. Move the drive shaft to one side until clear of lower pivot pin. 10. Remove the bolt (9) and washer from each side of machine. Remove the two pins (8) from the steering cylinders.11. Release the emergency and parking brake as follows: a) Remove the three bolts (11) from storage holes in retainer plate.b) Install the three bolts in the threaded holes (10), and tighten bolts until solid resistance is felt.12. Remove the floor plate from between the seat and the dash. 13. Remove the three bolts that fasten the steering arm (12) to the front frame. Move the steering arm and steering follow-up link (13) aside and clear of the top pivot pin.14. Remove the seven bolts (14) that fasten the upper pivot pin to the rear frame. 15. Put tool setup (A) in position under the rear of front frame. Put a lift truck into position under the rear of rear frame.16. Using tool setup (A) and the lift truck, put the frames into alignment so there will be no pressure against the upper pivot pin.17. Using a hydraulic jack, push the upper pivot pin out of main frames.18. Remove the bolts that fasten the retaining plate to the lower pivot pin. Remove the bolts that fasten the retaining plate to the front frame. Remove the retaining plate.19. Using tool setup (A) and the lift truck, put the frames into alignment so there will be no pressure against the lower pivot pin. 20. Remove the lower pivot pin (15) using a hydraulic jack (16). Remove the spacer (17).21. Put a floor jack under the front of rear frame to support the frame during separation.22. Using the floor jack and the lift truck, pull the rear frame clear of the front frame.23. Install tool setup (B) under rear of rear frame, and tool setup (C) under front of rear frame after separation from front frame.Connection Of Front And Rear Frames
