Check the rotor drum coolant level only after the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Pressure in the rotor drum can cause hot coolant and steam to spray outward when the plug is removed.Steam and hot coolant can cause personal injury and burns.The rotor drum plug must be removed slowly in order to relieve pressure.

Rotate the rotor in order to place plug (1) 127 mm (5.0 inch) above centerline (2) of the drum.
Remove plug (1). Check coolant level. The coolant level should be at the bottom of the filler plug opening. If the coolant level is low, add premixed coolant.
Clean plug (1). Install plug (1) .
