The switch (1) on the top of the propel control lever controls the operation of the vibration system.ON - In order to turn on the vibration system, press the switch on the top of the propel control lever.OFF - In order to stop the vibration system, press the switchon the top of the propel control lever again.Note: In order to start the vibratory system, the engine must be running at high idle.Note: In order to start the vibratory system, the vibratory amplitude control must be set to High amplitude or to Low amplitude. The vibratory amplitude control is a three position toggle switch (2) that is located on the operator console to the right of the seat. The control is used to select one of three settings: Off, Low amplitude and High amplitudeOFF - To stop the vibration system, place the vibratory control to the CENTER position.Note: When the switch for the vibratory amplitude control is moved into the OFF position, the on/off control button (1) will be disabled.
L(OW) - To achieve LOW amplitude, place the toggle switch to the L position. Note: For best results, proofing runs using the Compaction Monitor System should be completed with the vibratory system in LOW amplitude.
H(IGH) - To achieve HIGH amplitude, place the toggle switch in the H position. Vibratory Operation
High Amplitude
In order to increase the height of the drum movement, place the vibratory system in high amplitude.High amplitude is used in the following situations:
The job site requires higher compacting force in order to meet the required density.
In order to compact material with a depth of 250 mm (10.0 inch) or more, use high amplitude.Note: Once you have achieved the desired density of the material, continued operation at high amplitude can crush the aggregate.Note: Every job site is different due to the various conditions of the soil. Moisture content and the type of material vary from job site to job site. In order to determine the amplitude that is needed, establishing a test location at each job site is recommended.
In order to place the vibratory system in High amplitude, place the vibratory amplitude control toggle switch (2) to the "H" position.
Move the propel lever to the FWD position or the REV position.
Start the vibratory system by pressing vibratory on/off control (1). The control is located on the top of the propel lever.
In order to stop the vibratory system, press vibratory on/off control (1) .
Return the propel control to the STOP position.Low Amplitude
In order to decrease the height of the drum movement, place the vibratory system in low amplitude.Low amplitude is used in the following situations:
a proofing run is being completed using the AccuGrade for Compactors System
when operating the machine in high amplitude and the drum separates from the soil, use low amplitude in order to reach the desired soil density
the thickness of the material is less than 250
