The engine hood must be raised in order to access the engine compartment. The toggle switch that activates the engine hood is located on the left rear side of the machine.

Open the access door.
Pull out on toggle switch (1). Move the toggle switch to position (2) in order to raise the engine hood. Raise the engine hood to the desired height and release the toggle switch. The toggle switch will return to the neutral position.
Pull out on toggle switch (1). Move the toggle switch to position (3) in order to close the engine hood. Close the engine hood and release the toggle switch. The toggle switch will return to the neutral position.Manual Operation
The engine hood can be raised manually, and the engine hood can be lowered manually.

Remove the two bolts and access cover (1) .

Insert a socket head through the hole. Attach the socket head to the shaft of the motor which raises the engine hood. Use an air wrench to turn the shaft clockwise in order to raise the engine hood. Turn the shaft counterclockwise in order to lower the engine hood.
Install the access cover (1) and the two bolts when work is complete.
