1 544-6446 Retaining Ring 563-3359 The Retaining Ring failure can cause noise from Final Drive, lock-up Final Drive, have high iron readings in oil samples, and metal debris in oil changes. The Snap Ring used on the Final Drives does not have the capacity for the thrust loads and can fail from fatigue.Solution
In the event of a failure, replace the former Retaining Ring with the new 544-6446 Retaining Ring. Provide the pictures and information with TIB media number M0097197 prior to repair. Report the failure through the CPI feedback tool in Service Information Management System (SIMS). Reference the CPI number 404311 in the request.
