Remove And Install Exhaust Manifold
Start By:a. remove turbochargerb. remove fuel injection lines 1. Loosen nut (1). Remove nut (4) and the washer. Remove shield (3).2. Remove bolt (2) and two bolts (6). Remove shield (5). 3. Remove all nuts (8) and the washers. Remove spacers (9) and the washers. Remove exhaust manifold (7) and the gaskets. The following steps are for the installation of the exhaust manifold.4. If it was necessary to remove the studs, put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads that fit into the cylinder head. Install the studs and tighten them to a torque of 27 4 N m (20 3 lb.ft.).5. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the studs. Put the gaskets and exhaust manifold (7) in position on the studs. Install the washers and nuts (8) on all the studs except the front one and the eighth one from the front.6. Install the washer and long spacer (9) on the front stud. Install the washer and short spacer on the eighth stud from the front. Put shield (3) in position and install the washers, nut (1), and nut (4).7.
