Fabricate the plate from 8 mm (0.32 inch) thick standard plate steel. Refer to Illustration 2, Table 1, and Table 2.

Remove the rail assembly. Cut the plate that is cracked from the rail assembly. Weld the new plate onto the rail assembly. Refer to Illustration 3, Table 3, and Table 4.Note: Keep the nuts, bolts, and washers for later assembly.

Install the rail assembly. Use the same nuts, bolts and washers.
Torque the bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
