YES -Each resistance measurement is greater than 5 ohms.Repair: The sensor has failed. Temporarily connect a new Dump Pilot Oil Pressure sensor to the harness. Do not install the sensor. Verify that the replacement sensor has cleared the diagnostic code. If the code is no longer active, permanently install the new sensor. If the problem persists, exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. If the problem has not been found, replace the Power Train ECM. See Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Replace".STOP
NO - One or more of the resistance measurements are less than 5 ohms.Repair: There is a short in the machine harness. The short is between the signal circuit and the circuit with the low-resistance measurement. Repair the harness or replace the harness, then proceed to Test Step 5.
Inspect the contacts of the harness connectors and clean the harness connectors.
Reconnect all the harness connectors.
Turn the battery disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.
Operate the machine.
Check the status of the "CID 1062 FMI 03".The "CID 1062 FMI 03" is active.
YES - The "CID 1062 FMI 03" is active. The diagnostic code has not been corrected. The ECM may have failed.Failure of the ECM is unlikely. Exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. If the cause of the diagnostic code is not found, replace the ECM. Refer to Systems Operation, Troubleshooting, Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Replace".
NO - The "CID 1062 FMI 03" is not active. The diagnostic code does not exist now.The initial diagnostic code was probably caused by a poor electrical connection or short at one of the harness connectors that was disconnected and reconnected. This diagnostic code is associated with the Dump Pilot Oil Pressure Sensor. This analog sensor produces a voltage to the ECM on pin J1-37 C461-YL. This diagnostic code is active when the ECM detects a voltage on the signal wire that is less than 0.2 volts.Possible causes of this diagnostic code are:
Sensor failure
Power circuit is open
Sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground
