Assembly Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.Lubricate all seals and all rings with clean hydraulic oil.

Lubricate seals (7) with clean hydraulic oil. Install the seals to housing (5) .

Lubricate seal (6) with clean hydraulic oil. Install the seal to manifold (3) with the sealing lip at the top. Ensure that the seal is properly seated against the mounting plate at the bottom of the manifold. Refer to Illustration 3 for the proper orientation of the seal.
Place housing (5) onto the manifold. Use a soft mallet or a hydraulic press in order to seat the housing on the manifold. Use care to ensure that the seals are not damaged during assembly.

Lubricate seal (4) with clean hydraulic oil. Install the seal to cover (2) with the sealing lip away from the cover.

Place cover (2) into position on rotary manifold (3). Install two bolts (1) and the washers that secure the cover to the manifold. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).End By: Install the rotary manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rotary Manifold - Install" for further information.
