Loosen bolt (1) .
Loosen nut (3) and move compressor (2) toward the engine in order to relieve tension on air conditioner belt (4) .
Remove air conditioner belt (4) .Installation Procedure

Install air conditioner belt (4). Move compressor (2) away from the engine in order to increase the tension on the belt.
Adjust the V-belt tension.Note: Check the tension on the V-belt. Use a Kent Moore Company BT-33-97 gauge. The correct tension for a new V-belt is 712 22 N (160 5 lb). The correct tension for a used V-belt is 445 44 N (100 10 lb). The tension of a used V-belt is over 30 minutes of operation at rated speed.
Tighten nut (3) and bolt (1) .
