Introduction
The problem that is identified below was corrected at manufacturing.Problem

Shaft leadHystat pump shaft seal may leak on the machines listed above. Leakage may be due to a shaft lead in defect. Where hydraulic oil can be pumped out from under the lip seal, due to a spiral tooling mark on the surface of the shaft.Solution
If Hystat pump shaft seal leak occurs at low hours or repeatedly, then replace the 126-1420 Shaft Seal and the 278-4976 Drive Shaft with the same part. Do not attempt to repair the shaft for this defect.Use the following rework procedure in order to inspect and diagnose front pump leakage.
