Engine News SEBD9713, 24 June 2011, "A New Bracket and Linkage Assembly Are Used for the Exhaust Bypass on G3612 and G3616 Engines". The original article has been revised to add a note on the 4E-9277 Hose As .Description of Change: The exhaust bypass has been improved with a new bracket for the actuator and a new rod for the linkage. The part number of the exhaust bypass has not changed.The new bracket and the new rod are more rugged than the original bracket and rod.The new bracket is made of heavier material.The new rod is also made of heavier material. The rod is designed to accept larger 1/2 inch rod ends.Adaptable To: The new bracket and rod are adaptable to the engines that are listed above which use a TPS turbocharger and the 206-6539 Exhaust Bypass .The change is effective with BKE00581 and BLB00719.The new parts replace previous parts in the 206-6539 Exhaust Bypass. The parts are listed in Table 1.Locations of the parts are shown in Illustration 1.Note: Before ordering parts, inspect the 4E-9277 Hose As. If hoses are brittle, cracked, or worn, replace the hoses.
