Remove the rear step (94A) in order to access the lifting hook for the removal of the engine. Disconnect assembly (94B) that is indicated by the arrow.
Remove the front step in order to access the lifting hook for the removal of the engine.

Loosen hose clamps (94) .
Slide hose (95) into a position that will permit the removal of the engine.

Loosen hose clamp (96). Reposition the hose clamp.
Push the hose off the tube assembly.
Leave the hose in the position that is shown for the removal of the engine.

Attach a suitable lifting device to tube assembly (87) in order to support the tube assembly during removal.

Remove bolts (98), washers (99), and shims (97) from one side of tube assembly (87). Repeat this procedure for the other side of the tube assembly.
Failure to follow the recommended procedure or the specified tooling that is required for the procedure could result in damage to components.To avoid component damage, follow the recommended procedure using the recommended tools.
Note: During the removal of the tube assembly and the engine, place a suitable jack under the chassis in order to support the frame. Leave the jack in place until tube assembly (87) is installed.

Remove tube assembly (87) from the machine.

Install a suitable lifting device in order to support the engine.

Prepare to remove the engine and the torque converter. The combined weight of the engine and torque converter is approximately 9621 kg (21211 lb).
When the engine and the torque converter are removed, the weight of the unit may shift. This could cause personal injury or death. Use extra caution to avoid the unit and to stabilize the unit during the removal procedure.
Note: During the removal of the engine and the torque converter, raise the engine and the torque converter by 152.0 mm (5.98 inch). Before continuing the removal procedure, check for any remaining connections.
