Note: Handle sensor (17) carefully without damage to the harness assembly.Note: Make sure that the pin in sensor (17) lines up with the hole in cam assembly (20) .
Install sensor (20) onto cam assembly (20) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (19) .

Note: Handle sensor (17) carefully without damage to the harness assembly.
Align the reaction dowels for the spring and install sensor (17) into housing (18). Make sure that the sensor is fully seated.
Try to rotate the cam assembly in each direction. There should be resistance to rotation in each direction. If there is no resistance, repeat Step 11.

Apply Tooling (C) to washer (16). Install washer (16). Install gasket (15) .

Position housing (14). Install screws (13). Tighten screws (13) to a torque of 1.7 0.25 N m (15 2 lb in).

Note: Carefully guide the harness assembly into the correct position. Do not allow the harness assembly to bend or kink.
Position the housing. Apply Tooling (D) to bolts (12). Hand tighten bolts (12) .

Position sensor assembly (6) so that the alignment marks are aligned. Install bolts (11) .

Position plate (10). Apply Tooling (D) to bolts (9). Install bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Connect harness assembly (8) .

Install control group (5) onto sensor assembly (6) .

Note: Make sure that the parking brake shaft is aligned with the hole.
Raise cover (3). Position the control group at Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is 9.0 0.5 mm (0.35 0.02 inch). Tighten bolt (4). Carefully lower cover (3) into the correct position. Do not allow the wires to become damaged.
