Remove the turbocharger.
Remove the water temperature regulator housing.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

The ends of the bellows are very sharp. Injury could occur if the bellows are not handled properly. Handle the bellows by the convolutions.
Note: Refer to Special Instruction, REHS1728, "Application Guideline for the Bellows" for additional information on handling the bellows.
Remove clamp assembly (2) and position tube assembly (1) out of the way.
Remove bolts (3) and remove heat shield assembly (4).
Remove tube assembly (5).
Remove clamp assemblies (6). Use Tooling (A) in order to remove bellows (7).
Remove bolts (8) and (10). Remove tube assembly (9).

Remove nuts (11) and remove spacers (12). Discard nuts (11).
Remove exhaust manifold assembly (13) and remove the gaskets.

Remove nuts (17) and discard the nuts. Remove elbow (18) and the gasket. Separate exhaust manifold sections (14), (15), and (16). Installation Procedure

Note: Note the orientation of the exhaust manifold sections for use in installation procedure.
Install exhaust manifold assembly (13) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (B) on the threads of nuts (17).
Tighten nuts (17) to a torque of 70 5 N m (52 4 lb ft).
Apply a thin coat of Tooling (C) to the outside of the male ends of manifold sections (14) and (16). Apply a thin coat of Tooling (C) to the inside of the female ends of manifold section (15).

Torque Sequence
Apply Tooling (B) on the threads of nuts (11).
Install Tooling (D) at Locations (X). Position spacers (12) and install new nuts (11). Hand tighten nuts (11). Remove Tooling (D). Install remaining spacers (12) and nuts (11). Tighten nuts (11) in the above sequence to a torque of 20 3 N m (15 2 lb ft). Tighten nuts (11) again in the above sequence to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4.0 lb ft).

Use Tooling (A) in order to install bellow (7). Ensure that the end of the bellows with the taper (A-A) is facing the exhaust manifold.
Tighten clamp assemblies (6) to a torque of 7.5 1 N m (66 8 lb in).
Tighten clamp assembly (2) to a torque of 7.5 1 N m (66 8 lb in).
