Change level 3 encapsulates the diode inside a solid block of plastic. Change level 4 secures the wires in the plastic block in a better manner to prevent wire breakage. Both changes improve the reliability by making the arc suppressors more rugged and able to withstand additional vibration and flexing.Adaptable To: The improved 3E-9169 and 105-8827 Arc Suppressors are adaptable to all machines with air conditioning and the Sure-Seal connectors. The change level is stamped on the label of the arc suppressor after the part number. These changes apply only to the arc suppressors listed which are used with Sure-Seal connectors. The 106-8704 Arc Suppressor used with Deutsch (DT) connectors is not affected.
