Remove seal ring (25) from the clutch housing assembly.

Use Tooling (A) to remove sleeve bearing (26) from the clutch housing assembly.
Remove the three reaction dowels from the clutch housing assembly.

Remove twelve bolts (27) and the washers. Remove clutch disc assembly (28) and the plate from the torque converter.Note: Keep the clutch disc assembly and the plate together when the unit is removed from the torque converter.

Install two 3/8 - 16 NC forged eyebolts in inner impeller (29). Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to the inner impeller. Remove inner impeller (29) and the impeller hub as a unit. The weight of the unit is 11 kg (25 lb).
Separate the impeller hub from the inner impeller.

Remove ring (30) from inner impeller (29) .

Remove the bearing retainer, thrust bearing race (32), and thrust bearing (33) .
Remove outer impeller (31) from the rotating housing.

Remove side plate (34) from stator (35) .
Remove stator (35) and the carrier assembly as a unit.

Remove ring (36). Remove the side plate from stator (35). Separate stator (35) from the carrier assembly.

Remove sleeve bearing (38) from the carrier assembly.

Remove thrust bearing (40), the thrust bearing race, and the bearing retainer from the turbine hub.
Remove turbine (39) and the turbine hub from the housing as a unit.

Remove twenty-four bolts (41) and the washers that hold the turbine hub to the turbine. Separate the turbine from the turbine hub.

Remove two thrust bearing races (42), thrust bearing (43), and the bearing retainer from the rotating housing.

Invert the rotating housing. Remove eighteen bolts (44) and drive flange (45) from the rotating housing.
Remove the sleeve bearing from the rotating housing.
