Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the quick-drop valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Quick-Drop Valve - Remove".

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) from the quick-drop valve.

Remove O-ring seal (3), stop (4), and shims (5) from cover (2).

Remove spring (6) from the valve housing. Remove the nonserviceable piston (not shown) from the valve housing. The valve housing is a nonserviceable part.

Remove bolts (7) and cover (8) from the quick-drop valve.

Remove plug (9), pin (10), and piston (11) from the quick-drop valve.

Remove valve stem (12) from the quick-drop valve. Valve stem (12) is a nonserviceable part. Note: The end of piston (11) fits in the Slot (A) on the valve stem (12). Piston (11) must be removed before valve stem (12) can be removed.

Remove plug (15) from valve stem (12).
Remove retaining ring (13) and orifice sleeve (14) from valve stem (12).
