2. Disconnect hose (1) from each end of water spray bar (2). Remove locknuts (3) and the washers that hold the water spray bar to the water spray tank support. Remove the water spray bar. 3. Remove, disassemble and clean the sprinkler nozzles in the water spray bar as follows:a. Remove nozzle cap (4), nozzle (5), nylon eyelet (6) and strainer (7) from the water spray bar. b. Remove two screws (10), and separate the two halves of clamp (9). Remove O-ring seal (8) from the clamp.c. Clean the components of the sprinkler nozzles with a non-flammable cleaning solvent. The following steps are for the installation of the water spray bars.
Do not reuse elastic filled locknuts during installation of the water spray bar. The used locknuts should be discarded and replaced with new parts.
4. Install the sprinkler nozzles in the water spray bar as follows:a. Check the condition of O-ring seal (8). If the seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.b. Install O-ring seal (8) in clamp (9). Put the two halves of clamp (9) in position on the water spray bar, and install two screws (10) that hold it.c. Install strainer (7), nylon eyelet (6), nozzle (5) and nozzle cap (4) on the water spray bar.5. Put water spray bar (2) in position on the water spray tank support. Install the washers and locknuts (3) that hold it.6. Connect hose (1) at each end of the water spray bar.7. Fill the water spray tank. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.8. Align nozzles (5) so they spray across the drum assembly.
