Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install spacer (28) and bolts (27) to the steering pilot valve. Tighten bolts (27) to a torque of 13 1.5 N m (115 13 lb in).

Install clamp (24) for the boot.
Install bracket (26).
Apply Tooling (A) to bolt (25). Install bolt (25). Tighten bolt (25) to a torque of 25 3 N m (19 2 lb ft).

Install handle (23) and dowel (22) to the steering pilot valve.
Install connecting links (21).

Install boot (20) to the steering pilot valve (7).

Install base (19) to the steering pilot valve. Install set screw (18). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Install locknut (17). Tighten locknut (17) to a torque of 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).

Install eight wires to harness assembly (15).
Install wedge (16) to the harness assembly (15).

Install the harness assemblies.
Install nuts (14) and the washers.
Install tie straps (13).

Install rocker switch (12).
Install bolts (11).
Install ground wire and bolt (10).

Install cover (9) to the rocker switch.
Install screws (8) to the rocker switch assembly.

Install STIC steering control lever (6) to the steering pilot valve (7). Install screws (5). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Install housing (4) and two screws (3). Tighten screws (3) to a torque of 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Install cover (2) and two screws (1). Tighten screws (1) to a torque of 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in). End By:
Install the STIC control. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "STIC Control and Pilot Valve (Steering) - Install".
