Removal and Modification of Valve Group
1 Remove lever assembly (1). Remove and disassemble steering clutch control valve (2) as shown in the Service Manual. Machine surface (A) to the dimensions shown. When machining the diameter, it is permissible to remove a small amount of material from the thread tips. Thoroughly clean valve body (3) before assembly.Assemble Steering Clutch Control Valve
1 Install two spools (1) and two springs (2) in body (3). Install two new seals (4), covers (5), bolts (6) and washers (7). Tighten bolts (6). Install two spacers (8) and two springs (9). Install new seals (10) and (11) in covers (12). Install stems (13) in covers (12). Install two new seals (14) in body (3). Fasten covers (12) to body using bolts (15) and washers (16). Tighten bolts (15). 2 Install 3T2133 Nut (17) on 3T2131 Body (18). Install 6F7056 Washer (19), 3D2824 Seal (20) and 7F8607 Seal (21) on body (18). Install body (18) in body (3). Install 3T2129 Valve (22), 8V9953 Spring (23) and 3T2130 Piston (24) in body (18). Install 5F1678 Seal (25) in 3T2132 Cover (26). Fasten cover (26) to body (18) using two S1591 Bolts (27) and two 5M2894 Washers (28). Tighten bolts (27). 3 Install 2M1168 Slug (29) in cover (26). Install two 1J9671 Seals on 315894 Tees (30). Install tees (30) on cover (26). Install tees (31) on body (3). If necessary, body (18) may have to be loosened so 8V9942 Tube Assembly (32) and 8V9943 Tube Assembly (33) can be installed. After tube assemblies (32) and (33) have been installed, tighten nut (17) to a torque of 48 10 N m (35 7 lb-ft).Installation And Adjustment Of Valve Group
1 Install the steering clutch control valve on the tractor as shown in the Service Manual. Install 8V6077 Lever Assembly (1). Remove cap (2) and install a 0-4150 kPa (0-600 psi) pressure gauge. 2 With the transmission in Neutral, start the engine, bring the oil to an operating temperature of 71°C (160°F). Pull the steering clutch lever all the way back and check the relief valve pressure with the transmission in Neutral and the engine speed at low to high idle. The pressure must be 2085 140 kPa (305 20 psi). If the pressure is less than 1970 kPa (285 psi), stop the engine and add 4J7385 or 4J7386 Shims (3) as necessary to increase the pressure to 2085 140 kPa (305 20 psi).
