Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Install shaft (17), roll pin (18), and snap ring (16) to mounting block assembly (15).

Install plate (13) and bolts (14) to the mounting block assembly. Apply Tooling (A) to shaft (17). Note: Note the orientation of the hole patterns in relation to the woodruff key.

Install spacer (12) and snap ring (11). Apply Tooling (A) to spacer (12).

Install spring (10) and woodruff key (9).

Twist spring (8) and install torque arm (7). Apply Tooling (A) to torque arm (7).

Install tubes (5), plate (6), the washers, and bolts (4). Note: Bolts (4) should not protrude beyond plate (6).

Install O-ring seal (3) to position sensor (1).

Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (2). Install position sensor (1) and bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 1.0 .25 N m (9 2 lb in). Note: Position sensor (1) should be adjusted so that the mark on the sensor dial is aligned with the mark on the housing.End By:
