Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position. Turn all the switches to the OFF position.
Turn the key for the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the key.
Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery disconnect switch. The battery disconnect switch is connected to the machine frame.Note: Do not allow the disconnected battery cable to contact the battery disconnect switch or the machine.
Check the battery cable tightness to the battery posts.
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery.
Inspect the battery terminals for corrosion. Inspect the battery cables for wear or damage.
Check the battery hold-down for securing the battery in place.
If necessary, make repairs. If necessary, replace the battery cable or the battery.
Connect the positive battery cable at the battery.
Connect the negative battery cable at the battery.
Connect the battery cable at the battery disconnect switch.
Install the key for the battery disconnect switch. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
