G3616 (4CG) EnginesDescription of Change: A new check valve is now being used in the emergency lube oil lines group on these engines. The new check valve is 19.1 mm (.75 in) shorter than the former check valve. As a result of this change, a new, longer tube has been introduced. The new tube connects to the check valve, and must be used with the new, shorter check valve.Adaptable To: The components that have changed, in the 147-2540 Engine Oil Lines Group (emergency lube), are shown in the illustration and identified in Table 1.
(FRONT VIEW OF ENGINE) Components of the 147-2540 Engine Oil Lines Group (Emergency Lube). Some of the early "short version" check valves were still identified with the 7W-0333 part number. All "short version" check valves, regardless of part number, must be installed in conjunction with the 153-9543 Tube and the 1A-5183 Bolts.The production effectivity of the new (short version) check valve, and of the related parts, is listed in Table 2.
The former 4W-9633 Tube will continue to be available for parts service, for applications that still use the former (long version) 7W-0333 Check Valve.
