Keep engine speed low until the engine oil pressure registers on the gauge or the engine oil indicator light goes out. If it does not register or the light go out within ten seconds, stop the engine and investigate the cause before starting again. Failure to do so can cause engine damage.
1. Allow a cold engine to warm up at LOW IDLE for at least five minutes. Engage and disengage the hydraulic controls to help speed warm up of the hydraulic oil and components.Cycle all controls to allow warm oil to circulate through all cylinders and lines.When idling the engine for warm up, observe the following recommendations:* In temperatures above 0°C (+32°F), warm up requires approximately 15 minutes.* In temperatures below 0°C (+32°F), warm up requires approximately 30 minutes or more.* In temperatures below -18°C (0°F) or if hydraulic functions are sluggish, more time may be required. 2. The action alarm, action light and brake pressure indicator will stay on until the brake system has reached working pressure.3. If any of the warning indicator lights stay on (parking brake light will be on while the parking brake is engaged), have any necessary repairs made before operating the machine. Check all indicators and gauges frequently during operation.4. Check the hydraulic tank and transmission oil levels with the engine at low idle and at normal operating temperature. See the Maintenance Section for information on checking the oil levels.
