Perform the following steps in order to test the operating speed of the boom cylinders.

(A) Extension test (B) Retraction test
Place the machine on level ground.
The bucket should be empty.
Fully retract the bucket cylinder and the stick cylinder.
Position the bucket on the ground. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to extend the boom cylinders fully.
Position the boom cylinders at full extension. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required for the bucket to come in contact with the ground.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the boom cylinders.
Perform the following steps in order to test the operating speed of the stick cylinder.

(A) Extension test (B) Retraction test
Place the machine on level ground.
The bucket should be empty.
Position the upper surface of the boom parallel to the ground.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder.
Retract the stick cylinder. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to extend the stick cylinder fully.
Extend the stick cylinder. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to retract the stick cylinder fully.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the stick cylinder.
Perform the following steps in order to test the operating speed of the bucket cylinder.

Place the machine on level ground.
The bucket should be empty.
Position the upper surface of the boom parallel to the ground.
Position the stick so that the stick is perpendicular to the ground.
Fully retract the bucket cylinder.
With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to extend the bucket cylinder fully.
Position the bucket cylinder at full extension. With a stopwatch, measure the time that is required to retract the bucket cylinder fully.
Refer to the specifications in Table 1 for the operating speed of the bucket cylinder.
