Start By:a. remove rear exhaust manifoldb. remove crankshaft rear sealc. remove oil pan 1. Remove six bolts (2) and turbocharger mounting bracket (1).2. Remove turbocharger drain line (3). 3. Remove two bolts and washers (4). 4. Remove four bolts and washers (5) and fuel filter bracket (6). 5. Attach Tooling (A), lifting slings and a suitable lifting device to the flywheel housing as shown. The weight of the flywheel housing is approximately 191 kg (425 lb).6. Remove eight bolts (7), two nuts (8), two covers (9) and the gaskets.7. Remove twenty bolts (10).8. Remove flywheel housing (11) and the gasket.Install Flywheel Housing
Ensure front face of the flywheel housing, both sides of the flywheel housing gasket and the rear face of the cylinder block are completely free of all oil, fuel, water, gasket adhesive, assembly compounds and any other contaminants prior to assembly. See the topics "Flywheel Housing Runout" and "Flywheel Housing Bore" in the Specifications Manual for the correct methods of flywheel housing inspection. 1. Install the flywheel housing and cylinder block gasket.2. Apply 8T-9022 RTV Silicone-Blue sealant to fill the space at the cylinder block, flywheel housing and oil pan joint.3. Attach Tooling (A), lifting slings and a suitable lifting device to the flywheel housing as shown. The weight of the flywheel housing is approximately 191 kg (425 lb).4. Install flywheel housing (11).5. Apply 4C-4030 Thread Sealant to the threads of twenty bolts (10). 6. Install twenty bolts (10). Tighten in numerical sequence as shown to a torque of 40 10 N m (30 7 lb ft).7. Tighten bolts (1) through (8) again in a numerical sequence to a torque of 135 20 N m (100 15 lb ft). Tighten bolts (9) through (20) again in a numerical sequence to a torque of 55 10 N m (40 7 lb ft).8. Install two covers (9) and the gaskets.9. Install eight bolts (7) and two nuts (8). 10. Place fuel filter bracket (6) in position and install four bolts and washers (5). 11. Install two bolts and washers (4). 12. Install turbocharger drain line (3).13.
