Before completing this procedure, please review the safety actions in the Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine.
If the connecting rod bearings have failed:
Remove engine from the machine. For detailed instructions refer to Disassembly and Assembly, UENR0143 "CP56B, CP68B, CP74B, CS56B, CS66B, CS68B, CS74B, CS76B and CS78B Vibratory Soil Compactors Engine Supplement".
Replace the engine, refer to UENR0143.
Replace the LHS PTO pump gasket when refitting the pump.
Replace the engine oil in accordance with latest version of the machine Operation and Maintenance Manual.
If required, re-flash the engine ECM with the latest software, as specified in the Parts Needed or check SIS Web for latest version.
