Information:

2. Connect the hydraulic powerpack system to the pendulum control valve: Pressure line to valve port "P".Return line to valve port "R".Line from head end of cylinder to valve port "C1".Line from rod end of cylinder to valve port "C2".Valve case drain to return line or reservoir.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT NO DIRT GET INTO THE PENDULUM CONTROL VALVE. A SINGLE PARTICLE OF DIRT TOO SMALL TO BE SEEN CAN CAUSE THE VALVE TO JAM. FLUSH ALL LINES WITH CLEAN HYDRAULIC OIL AND THOROUGHLY CLEAN ALL PORTS AND FITTINGS BEFORE MAKING ANY CONNECTIONS. BE SURE ONLY OIL THAT HAS BEEN FILTERED THROUGH A 10-MICRON FILTER IS ALLOWED TO REACH THE VALVE.
3. Replace the 1/2" (1.3 cm)-13 bolt at the rear pivot point of the pendulum assembly with the special 1/2" (1.3 cm)-13 x 3/4"-inch (1.9-cm) bolt.4. Use the slope selector handwheel to position the adjustment guide block pin vertically above the special bolt. 5. Lace the plumb bob string through the slots on the rear of the pendulum assembly, slide the eyelet onto the adjustment guide block pin and let the plumb bob hang below the special bolt.6. Use the slope selector handwheel to align the plumb bob string with the tip of the special bolt. This aligns the center point of the adjustment guide block with the center of mass of the pendulum counterweight.7. Check that the hydraulic powerpack is correctly connected to the control valve and that all connections are tight, then start the powerpack. 8. Loosen the four 3/8-inch (0.95-cm) bolts that secure the pendulum to the pendulum assembly and then rotate the pendulum back and forth about the pivot point several times to free the system of air. The piston rod in the hydraulic cylinder will move back and forth as the pendulum is moved.9. Position the pendulum so the piston rod is about half extended and not moving, then tighten the four 3/8-inch (.95-cm) bolts that secure the pendulum to the pendulum assembly. This nulls the control valve so that when the pendulum assembly is vertical there is no flow of hydraulic oil.10. Recheck the alignment of the plumb bob string with the tip of the special bolt. If they are not aligned, repeat steps 6 through 10. 11. Place the mechanic's level on top of the adjustment guide block and parallel to the adjustment shaft. Loosen the nuts that secure the adjustment shaft bearings and then use the adjustment screws under the bearings to level the adjustment guide block. 12. Place the level on top of the adjustment guide block and at 90 degrees to the adjustment shaft. Level the adjustment guide block by rotating it on the adjustment shaft. 13. Measure from the center of the adjustment guide block pin down to the tip of the special bolt. The measurement should be 16.666 inches (42.3316 cm) plus or minus 0.010 inch (.0254 cm). If the measurement is not within tolerance, use the bearing adjustment screws to adjust the distance and then
