Schematic of the Inclination Sensor (Dynamic)This diagnostic code is generated when the implement ECM reads the signal from the sensor and the signal is incorrect.Possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed:
A component that is internal to the sensor has failed.
The diagnostic code is displayed as a logged code.System Response:The gauge parameter for the slope of the machine and the side slope of the machine is displayed as "DATA INTERMITTENT" on the display of the VIDS.Note: The performance of the sensor has degraded enough that the gauge parameters for the slope of the machine and the side slope of the machine will be unavailable. The autocarry will continue to function without any noticeable difference.Test Step 1. CHECK IF THE DIAGNOSTIC CODE REMAINS.
Clean all contacts of the harness connectors for the sensor circuit.
Reconnect all harness connectors.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.
Operate the machine.
Clear the diagnostic code for the sensor.
Check the status of CID 0871 FMI 02.Expected Result:The diagnostic code is no longer active.Results:
YES - The diagnostic code is no longer active. The diagnostic code does not exist at this time. The initial diagnostic code was probably caused by a poor electrical connection or a short at one of the harness connectors that was disconnected and reconnected. Resume normal machine operation.STOP
NO - The diagnostic code remains active. The sensor has failed.Repair: Replace the sensor.STOP
