Use a hoist to remove heavy components. Use an adjustable lifting beam to lift the pump. All cables and chains should be parallel to each other. The chains and cables should be perpendicular to the top of the object that is being lifted.

Consult with your Cat dealer for more information.To lift the fluid end only, lift after the connection rods and plunger clamps have been removed. Also, prior to lifting the fluid end, ensure that the pump electronics monitoring system (PEMS) has been disconnected. Use lifting eyes (3) to lift the fluid end. To remove the pump only, use the lifting points (1) and (2). To lift the entire unit, use lifting eyes (1) and (3).
