start by:a) release oil pressure in main system
Do not disconnect or remove any oil lines until all oil pressure in main system has been released.
1. Disconnect the four pilot oil lines (1) from each side of the control valve. 2. Remove oil line (2) and disconnect oil line (3) from bottom of valve. Put identification on all hydraulic lines and hoses for installation purposes. Put caps or plugs on all hydraulic lines and hoses to keep out dirt and foreign material out of the system. 3. Disconnect four hoses (4) and remove one oil line (5). Remove the bolts from the clamps that hold the hoses together. 4. Remove lines (7) and (8). Disconnect lines (6). Remove hose clamp from back of valve. 5. Remove oil manifolds (10) and (11) from the control valve.6. Remove the bolts (9) that hold the valve to the frame. 7. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts in the valve body. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) in the eyebolts and remove the control valve (12). Weight of the valve is 600 lb. (270 kg).Install Five Stem Control Valve
1. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts in top of valve. Fasten a hoist and tool (A) to the valve (1) and put it in position on the machine. 2. Install oil manifold (3) with the four bolts (2) that hold it. 3. Install the bolts (4) that hold control valve to the machine frame. Install oil manifold (5). 4. Install hoses (7) and (8). Connect oil lines (6). Install hose clamp in back of valve. 5. Install oil line (10). Connect four hoses (9) to the valve. 6. Install oil line (11). Connect oil line (12) to the control valve. 7. Connect the four pilot lines (13) to the control valve.8. Fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level.9. Remove the air from the pilot system. start by:a) remove five stem control valve 1. Remove two bolts (1), then remove oil manifold (2) from the control valve body. Remove the O-ring seals from under the manifold. 2. Remove and inspect two orifices (3). 3. Remove housing (4) from the valve body.4. Remove the valve stem (5) for control of the swing. Put identification on all removed valve stems respective to their locations in the valve body. 5. Remove housings (6) and (8), springs (7) and valve stems (9) for control of overspeed of the left track. 6. Remove housing (11) from the valve body.7. Remove valve stem (10) for control of the left track. 8. Remove housing (12) from valve body.9. Remove valve stem (13) for control of the stick. 10. Remove housing (14) from the valve body.11. Remove valve stem (15) for stick crossover. 12. Remove housing (17) and valve stem (16) for boom crossover. 13. Remove the bolt, washer, retainer (26), spacer (22), spring (25), retainer (21), shims (24), spring (20), retainers (19)
