Description of Change: The pressure setting for the dump line relief valve on the head end of the tilt cylinder was set too high on some IT62H machines. The increased pressure setting can result in failure of the pin assembly.Adaptable To: The orientation of the hole for grease for 9V-3289 Pin As has been rotated by 90 degrees. This change provides additional protection against failure of the pin assembly. Replacement of 9V-3289 Pin As is not required to resolve the problem. Failure of the pin assembly may be prevented in the following ways:
Adjust the pressure setting for the dump line relief valve on the head end of the tilt cylinder 272-7003 Relief Valve Gp to 20680 kPa (3000 psi). For more information, see Testing and Adjusting, RENR8878, "Relief Valve (Line) - Test and Adjust".
Replace 272-7003 Relief Valve Gp with 272-2334 Relief Valve Gp .
Replace the old design 9V-3289 Pin As with the new design. Replacement of 9V-3289 Pin As is not required unless failure has occurred.The pressure setting for the dump line relief valve on the head end of the tilt cylinder 272-7003 Relief Valve Gp is adaptable to the following machines: IT62H (S/N: M5G1-400).The new pressure setting for the dump line relief valve on the head end of the tilt cylinder 272-2334 Relief Valve Gp is effective in production with the following machines: IT62H (S/N: M5G401-UP).The new design of the Pin Assembly is adaptable to the following machines: IT62H (S/N: M5G1-448).The new design of the Pin Assembly is effective in production with the following machines: IT62H (S/N: M5G449-UP).
