Test 1 - AEC and Horn Functionality Check
Turn on the engine.
Ensure that power mode is set to "HP".
Set engine speed dial to position 10.
Verify that the engine speed is at high idle. See machine specifications for the exact value for engine rpm.

After 5 seconds with joystick levers in the NEUTRAL position and the hydraulic lockout lever DOWN so that the hydraulic system is not active, the engine speed should drop to low idle. See machine specifications for exact value of engine rpm.

Cycling the OTL trigger on the right-hand joystick should bring the engine speed to high or low idle, depending on the state of the OTL button. See machine specifications for exact value of engine rpm.

Repeat the test with the hydraulic lockout lever UP so that the hydraulic system is active. Results should be the same.

Remove cover (D) if necessary and connect a volt meter to solenoid valve (E).
Set the key to the ON position. Ensure that all machine working lights are turned off.
Keep the hydraulic lockout lever DOWN so that the hydraulic system is not active.
Press float switch (3) three times and ensure that no voltage is applied to solenoid (E), and indicator lamp (14) is not activated each time.

Set the hydraulic lockout lever UP so that the hydraulic system is active.
Press float switch (3) two times and ensure 24 Volts is applied to solenoid (E) and indicator lamp (14) is activated.

Press float switch (3) one more time and ensure that no voltage is applied to solenoid (E) and indicator lamp (14) is not activated.
